Westgroup employee housing
Victor, Idaho
In Teton Valley, just south of Driggs.
- The need
- Westgroup needed homes for its employees in Teton Valley, where housing is hard to find.
- What we built
- Over three phases, 8 single-story Ridgelines and 2 two-story Westleys: 18 units and 30 bedrooms.
- The result
- The first 8 homes were done before the foundations were ready. Westgroup is now building Phase 4: 2 Ridgelines stacked on top of 2 Dakotas.
- Why it worked
- “In fact, they had all 8 units completed before we were ready with the foundations onsite.” John Gavin, Westgroup
Why modular
Westgroup needed a place for its team to live in Victor, where housing for workers is hard to come by and so are the trades to build it. Building in our factory meant the homes were coming together in Idaho Falls while the site got ready in Teton Valley.
Growing one phase at a time
Westgroup didn't build it all at once. Phase 1 was four Ridgelines. They came back for two Westleys, then four more Ridgelines. Phase 4 goes up instead of out: 3-bed Ridgelines stacked on top of two-unit Dakotas.
Why we love this one
It shows how the system grows with a business. Start with what you need, add more when you're ready, and stack when land is tight. Every phase, they came back to us.

“We contracted with Mountain Valley Prefab to build (8) 2-bedroom modular units for employee housing in Driggs ID. The quality was top notch. They completed the homes ahead of schedule – which is REALLY uncommon in the construction industry. In fact, they had all 8 units completed before we were ready with the foundations onsite. Their set crew was very professional, and the final product turned out great. They were super easy to work with, from the initial contract, to choosing colors and options to the final completion and occupancy. I would highly recommend them.”
