Modular short-term rental homes
Mountain towns book up fast. Your units get built indoors while your site gets ready.
Our factory builds through winter, so your units can be ready when the ground thaws.
Why developers build rental cabins in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming
Modular short-term rental homes make sense where the guests already come. In Island Park, Idaho, a short-term rental listing averaged $63,600 in revenue at 57% occupancy. In Jackson, Wyoming the average was $139,100, and in Big Sky, Montana $104,800 (AirDNA, trailing 12 months through September 2026).
Those are market averages, not a promise for one property, and peak months earn more than shoulder months. Rules are set by each town and county, so check with your local building and zoning office first.
The hard part is getting built. Good trades are busy, expensive or hard to find: in a 2025 national survey, 88% of contractors had craft jobs that were hard to fill, and 45% had projects delayed by the shortage (AGC and NCCER, 2025). Many of the best rental sites are remote, and the building season is short. In a mountain town, opening a season sooner can mean catching a whole season instead of missing it.

Modular short-term rental homes, built through winter
We build modular short-term rental homes for mountain towns in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Utah. Every unit is about 95% finished on our factory floor in Idaho Falls. The other 5% happens on your site.
Months saved in the factory become nights booked. While your units are built indoors, your local contractor gets the site ready: the foundation, utilities, and access for the truck and crane. Our own crew sets the units, and you provide the crane.
We don't sell modular as cheaper. Savings depend on design repetition, and the real gain is time to revenue.
Our homes are built to the same building codes as site-built homes (IRC and IBC). The foundation can be a crawlspace or a basement, with access to the utilities underneath.

Questions rental developers ask
Can I use the units as short-term rentals?
Rules are set by each town and county, so check with your local building and zoning office. Once you know what's allowed, our revenue calculator can help you run the numbers.
Can I customize a plan?
Yes, within what a module allows. At the end of the day, every module has to fit on a truck. Call us to talk through changes. Use your architect or ours: bring your own, or we'll bring one in and handle it behind the scenes.
What does my site need?
Good access for semi-trucks, wide loads and a crane. We'll review your site on satellite maps first, and visit in person when needed.
What does shipping cost?
It's quoted by distance from our Idaho Falls factory.
Who provides the crane?
You do. Our crew sets the modules, and your crane does the heavy lifting.
